Ugh…

The annoying thing about Jott and Sandy is that, while the work together, they don’t work together cohesively.

Jott and Sandy are, essentially, two sides of the same coin.  Both attempt to handle scheduling, reminders, and to-do lists. Jott handles those items via phone; Sandy handles them via email.  Neither, unfortunately, has a complete feature set. Jott works almost seemlessly with Google Calendar and other applications, but it doesn’t accept input from the computer except through its somewhat-annoying interface.  Sandy counts on computer input, but it doesn’t work with GCal properly and it certainly doesn’t support phone commands except through Jott. Jott, of course, only sends data to Sandy, and won’t receive data from her.

Jott is, of course, the better application by far.  If only somebody at Jott had realized that what people are looking for is a personal assistant…or, if somebody at Sandy had realized that creating a computerized assistant requires the ability to work with the user via whatever productivity apps he’s already using…

Jott should buy Sandy and solve this mess.
